Bacon Universe is my next attempt at creating an immersive, participatory, and interactive exhibit.
It will be immersive in the sense that visitors will step directly into the world of the Bacon Universe—physically surrounded by its sights, sounds, and stories. When fully realized, walking through the exhibit will feel like walking into another world.
It will be participatory, meaning that much of the art and narrative will be created collaboratively by volunteer participants—especially children—and by contributing artists.
It will be interactive, allowing visitors to speak with various elements of the story to uncover the lore of the Bacon Universe. Some pieces will even contain layers of interaction within them, creating moments of surprise and discovery.
The story of the Bacon Universe, currently in development, will serve as the training foundation for a locally run AI model—one that operates independently rather than relying on remote data centers. Once trained, this model will make every interaction feel like a direct conversation with the Bacon Universe itself.
Visitors will be able to follow the story as it evolves. Plans for the physical installation include a large apple structure accompanied by a pair of pigs and a number of Baconites—citizens of the Bacon Universe—suspended from the apple and scattered among other community-built installations.

This project is another “world” building exercise using physical installations as well as story telling elements. The core of the story will be revealed through interactions with a locally run AI model that will constantly be trained by the artists and the participants.
